Work It is a simple, offline-first workout tracker. We designed it to store your data on your device and to avoid collecting personal information.

This page explains what data the app handles, how it is stored, and your choices.

Summary

No collection: We do not collect, share, or sell personal data.
On‑device only: Your workout data is saved locally on your device using app storage.
No network use: The app does not require an internet connection and does not send data to servers.
Your control: You can export, import, edit, or delete your data from within the app.

Data We Handle (On Device)

Work It stores only the information you enter, on your device:

Exercises: Names, optional muscle group labels, and whether an exercise is time‑based.
Workout entries: For each exercise, entries can include weight, set count, reps or duration, and a timestamp.
Schedule & notes: Per‑date exercise assignments and optional day descriptions.
Templates: Named sets of exercises for quick reuse.
Backups (optional): If you export, the app creates a JSON file or clipboard text containing your data so you can back it up or restore it later.

These data are considered fitness/health‑related. They remain on your device unless you choose to export them or include them in your own backups. We do not maintain any user accounts.

How Data Is Stored

Local storage: Data is saved as JSON in the app’s local storage (SharedPreferences) on your device.
No remote servers: We do not transmit your data to any server or third party.
Optional files: If you choose “Save to file”, backup files are written to your device’s app documents folder.

Exports, Imports, and Backups

Export: You can copy your data as JSON to the clipboard or save it to a local file.
Import: You can paste a previous export or pick a local backup file to restore.
Security reminder: Exported files and clipboard text may contain sensitive workout information. Store and share them carefully.

Permissions & Connectivity

No internet access required: The app does not require a network connection to function.
No sensitive device permissions: The app does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, or microphone.

Third‑Party Services

Work It does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or cloud services. The app is built with Flutter and uses local storage libraries that do not send your data anywhere by themselves.

Data Retention & Deletion

Retention: Data remains on your device until you edit it, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
Delete in app: You can delete exercises, entries, schedules, templates, and backups you created.
Full removal: To remove all app data, clear the app’s storage in system settings or uninstall the app. Any backup files you saved must be deleted manually.

Children’s Privacy

Work It is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. Changes are effective when posted here.
